God is a God of promises. In fact the Word is full of those promises. Many a time we read of men and women who bore the promises of God. Joshua was no exception. God called him from the pool of leaders that had served Israel. Reading earlier on in the book of Judges one will discover that only Joshua and Caleb were given assurances that they would enter the Promised Land.
Joshua saw the promises of God come to pass as the elders of Israel confirmed his calling.
The people said to him, "As we obeyed Moses in all things so we will obey you, God be with you as He was with Moses" Joshua 1:17. The guarantee was that God's promise to him was confirmed through the leadership of the nation.
When God has made promises to you, He is bound to rise up support for that word through men and women who will support you through your walk with God. In verse 16 the people said unto Joshua: "All that you command us we will do, and where you send us we will go."
God’s promises will always be yes and where people will see the promise they will rally
to support the one bearing the promise. Many a time the visionary is able to gather a resource pool because that which he or she carries has been birthed from the Lord.
In all his endeavours concerning Israel we see the rallying support given to Joshua.
To you and I we have the full assurance that we have an added advantage when God has set us apart. In my dealings with God I have come to realise that I have what I call strategic and divine partnerships- men and women who have gathered around my life to see the fulfilment of what God has said about my life.
No matter what battle comes my way I have an assurance that the soldiers will heed the rallying call of the commander to the battlefield. Man and women will come and help you accomplish your vision by authenticating that which is on your life.
